This is a continuation from Part 3.
Before we dive in, a few concepts: risk can be viewed in terms of amount per trade(s) over a period of time and the number of trades taken over a period of time. Many traders break rules during high tension — the app is designed with that in mind.
Go to the mobile app > Settings > Risk Management
You have two options: Risk management rules and Change frequency.
Change frequency is the minimum days interval before you may change your risk management rules (minimum is one day), and can only be changed after creation of risk management rules.
Click Risk management rules to open the pop up. Click the plus sign to add a new rule — each option has descriptions in the app.
- Maximum trades area: whether the rule applies to every trade, per week, per day, etc. Choosing every trade means the rule applies to every trade and the number of trades is irrelevant for that rule.
- Loss value: relative to the maximum trade rule above — in amount or percent.
- Wait time: how long the application waits after you pick a trade before the rule applies.
Create rules that match your plan — for example: no more than 2% of balance risked per trade, with a short wait before the app warns or acts; or a cap on trades per day with a total risk limit.
You can update rules and confirm your change frequency still matches what you want.
Rules in action
If you pick a trade without a stop loss (seen as unlimited risk within account balance), you get a notification before the time you set elapses. If you do not fix it in time, the trade can be closed automatically to conform with the rules.
Congratulations! That is the core of how risk management works in the app — use it to reduce losses and support discipline.
